Our under 11/12/13s girls footballers were back in action with challenge
games last week. Great to see the girls playing again.

*U11’s O’Tooles v Parnells 08/06/2021*

Our u11 girls blew off the cobwebs and produced a sparkling performance
against local rivals Parnells. Team on the night; Issy Cuttie, Erin
O’Reilly, Elza Zustere, Robyn O’Loughlin, Emily McDonagh, Ruby Davey,
Sophie McDermott, Ava Mackey, Milly Healy, Leah Elliot, Casey Daly. Special
mention to Erin O’Reilly her debut, Tasmanian devil at the back.

*U12’s O’Tooles v Parnells 08/06/2021*

Great contest tonight against two evenly matched teams. Ava’s kicking in
goal was great as always and she made some decent catches too. A back 4 of
Kallie, Layla, Lacey and Gemma started the game very well, shutting out
Parnells early chances. Jane, Sinead, Sarah B and Emma started in midfield
and took the game to the opposition early on with a point and goal from
Jane and a point a piece for Emma and Sinead while only giving away 2
points in reply. A forward line of Katie, Sophie, Zara and Ella looked
lively and gave the Parnells defense plenty to think about. At the first
water break, Ivy came on for her first competitive game and looked like she
had been playing with the team for years. Parnells managed to pull 2 back
before Ella added another for o’Tooles before the break. Half time O’Tooles
up by 1-4 to 0-4. In the second half, Ruby came on and had an impressive
half, getting on the score sheet with a great point. Parnells came on
strong in the second half and managed to get a couple of points as well as
a contentious goal which looked like it was thrown in. O’Tooles looked like
they were tiring with this being many of the girls first game in over 6
months but weren’t going down without a fight. Points from Emma and two
more from Jane ensure the points were shared in an evenly fought match. A
couple of girls came close to winning girl of the match , in particular
Jane and Emma but today the award has to go to Kallie who was immense at
the back and was brilliant carrying the ball out. Well done girls (thanks
to Gavin for the match report).

*U13’s O’Tooles v Trinity Gaels 10/06/2021*

Well done to our u13s who produced a fine team display to overcome Trinity
Gaels on a scoreline of 4-12 to 3-6. The girls sported new jerseys kindly
sponsored by Tesco. Huge thanks to Robert McKeown in Tesco for supporting
our teams.
