We were promised a heatwave and looked forward to perfect conditions for our away match v Erins Isle. Instead of sun we got torrential rain and instead of boots the lads would have been better off in wellies. While most people ran for cover under some nearby trees the lads just got on with it without complaining (too much !).The conditions made the game a lottery – would we keep our 100% record? , Would a mistake decide the game? Yes we kept our record intact and yes there were a few mistakes.I have to give credit to both teams for doing their absolute best to entertain the dedicated supporters.Unfortunately they didnt have a lot of scores to cheer as it was a low scoring affair – with only 14 scores throughout the 60 minutes. Our lads came out on top by a scoreline of 4:04 to 3:03. We stay joint top of the league with our next fixture on Sat 14th v Round Towers in Clondalkin. They say it will be dry – but maybe we should pack the wetsuits – just in case.
