The junior footballers had a great hard fought win Tuesday night against st.james Gaels in there first league game of the season .
The larriers won the game 2-10 to 0-11 .
Was great win for the lads even with the team going down to 14 men but straight away after they lost a man but O’tooles went down and won a penalty thanks to Luke Myers and Mick Healy as cool as ice slotted the ball into the net..at half time the game was 2-6 to 0-3.Few changes at half time and fresh legs coming on was needed with the wind against us and 14 v15 O’tooles battled hard in the second half with some excellent scores from
Chief and brave defending from all the backs .the lads saw out the game to win my 5points and great start to the year.
Great performances from all players and stand out men chief , Baldy , Shane , Luke and Alan ..

Chief 5p
Paul McLoughlin 1p
Sean Eustace 1p

>> Sunday morning seen a welcome win for our junior team in St Anne’s no.7. Game started at an unusually fast pace with Ciaran McGrath and peter synnott(playing his annual game on return home) dominating the midfield and putting lots of early scores on the board for our usual early lead followed with a goal from Conor lynch just before the break.

>> 2nd half seen us not score for 25 minutes in classic junior ‘who wants to lose it more’ fashion. But lucky enough for the team and late scores from an experienced junior Stalwart to ‘settle’ the nerves seen us over the line by 4 points.
