Well done our senior footballers that had a narrow but deserved win over
Kilmacud in their first league match of the season. And to our minor
hurlers that had a four point win over round Towers Clondalkin. A little
luck and a lot of skill saw our U14 hurlers triumph over Ballyboden and our
U16’s take the points against Clontarf on Saturday. Our U10 boys had a good
away to St Brigid’s from the back line with Cian, Joey in midfield chasing
every ball, to Eoin D & Owen G showing great skill. We wish the best for
some of our U11 hurlers that will play at half time this Saturday.
Hopefully a number of them will go on to represent their county in the
future. Friday night saw our lads and lassies show skills of a different
nature, in the boxing ring when they took on Ayrfield Utd in a bid to raise
much needed funds for the Club. Was no mean feat achieved by the
organisers, helpers and fighters, BRAVO!! Mothers day came early for Paula
Thompson, hubby Mark and their first born Ben. You can celebrate a special
mum’s day in O’Toole’s with Eddie Legend, featuring ‘The Bay City Rollers’
& ‘Showaddywaddy’ from 6 to 8pm with champagne & roses for mum. Saturday
night entertainment with the ever popular ‘Desire’. There was no winner of
our Club Lotto. The numbers drawn were 2, 6, 7, 23. The jackpot will be
€1,100 this week.
