Back in the mid-90s, Gerard was captain of the O’Toole’s side that won the U13 North Dublin Premier Football League. Sadly, a traffic accident in the summer of 1996 saw Gerard lose his life, but such was the impact of his short career that we decided to mark his contribution with the annual Ger Canavan Tournament. We are proud to say that it is now in its 18th year.
O’Tooles are inviting clubs to take part in our Under 9 Boys section of The Ger Canavan Tournament. This will take place on Saturday the 4th of July. First match scheduled for 10am.
We are looking for Eleven other clubs. We will have four groups of three. The top two teams in each group playing the quarter finals eventually leading to final.
