Our annual and biggest Good Friday Wall ball challenge took place in
bitterly cold weather. I was, in fact shocked that the competitors could
hold a hurl and sliotar. Having said that, it was a great event sponsored
by Azzurri & Farrell hurls. Thanks go to the organisers, counters, parents
and participants. This year, we dedicated our U12 trophy to our past
president ‘Jim Murphy’ and Aron Gargan (Fingallians) is the first to have
his name engraved on the prestigious trophy.

Also, on Friday we hosted a superb U16 hurling tournament. In general, the
games were exciting, with the final being a thrilling game that went beyond
the whistle to penalties with Maynooth taking the honours over Plunketts.
Our own lads were excellent, winning two, drawing one and losing one.

Our second Easter camp started today amid a flurry of excited chatter and
smiley faces. It looks like this week will be as successful as last thanks
to David, his team and the parents of our little angels.

We wish a speedy recovery to Sara Gibbons, an integral member of our ladies
team.

This weekend in our lounge we have, Friday DJ fun night, Saturday with
‘Kacey D’ and Sunday Music Bingo.

There was no winner of our Thursday night ‘Live’ Lotto draw. The numbers
were 2, 14, 17, 22. The jackpot this week is €1,700
