14 girls took part today in their first camogie game of the season. We
haven’t been training for about 6 weeks so the game was needed.
We played two 7 aside games against Craobh Chiarain with all players
getting to play the full game.
It was the first time we played 25 minutes per half so the girls looked
very tired on the final whistle but they never stopped.
All of our sessions this year have focused on picking and striking, so
when we had an opportunity to do it in the second half, first half being on
the ground only, it was rewarding to see the players all trying and
succeeding (some of the time).
We are always on the look out for new players, so any parent that wants
their daughter to try a team sport, just send me a text or just turn up
to training, they will be made very welcome. We are training on the wall
on Thursday from 7pm to 7.45pm.
Sport is so important for all children, girls and boys. O’Toole’s Camogie
could be the right fit for your daughter.
