The Senior hurlers had a productive day at the office on Saturday. They spent the first half of the day at The Gibson Hotel at an away day learning about mental toughness, team dynamics and strength and conditioning with guest speakers Stephen Mc Ivor and Lynne Cantwell.

After a long day, they regrouped and went out to beat Craobh Ciaran. Four points up at half time, O’Tooles always seemed to be in the drivers seat.  It could be argued that the scoreline flattered the Craobh on the day as their keeper was in great form and saved 3 point blank gilt edged chances.

Craobh also converted a 21 yard free for a goal with the last puck of the game. The final score was 0.22 to 2.12. Good on the day for O’Tooles were Niall Arthur, Ger Arthur, Peadar Carton Christy Mulligan and Kevin Ryan.  This win extends the senior hurlers unbeaten run this season to 10 matches. (8 league wins, 1 win and 1 draw in championship)

With players like Liam Ryan, Mikey Carton, Cian Wilson, Graham Morris and Sean O’Keefe returning to action for the next match, hopefully the seniors can continue their winning ways.

The starting team on the day was: Brendan Mc Loughlin, Ciaran Gethings, Philly Brennan, Neil Byrne, Ger O’Meara, Kevin Ryan, Eoghan Darcy, Christy Mulligan, Aaron Lynch, Ger Arthur, Peadar Carton, Andy Morris, Conor Carton, Paul Bradshaw, Niall Arthur.
