We welcomed Clanna Gael , the league leaders, to Blunden Drive on Saturday 9th for our latest game.We expected a tough physical battle and thats how it turned out. They started well with a goal from their first attack. Our lads then started to move the ball & picked of 5 points in a row and were on top until the visitors got a couple of goals against the run of play.We were down by 4 points at the break.O Tooles came out really strong in the 2nd half and within 15 minutes were level. We just couldn’t push on from there and Clanna Gael came back with a fortunate goal.We dropped a few shots short as we kept trying to peg it back – but the final whistle went with the visitors ahead by 3 points. A brilliant effort from O Tooles in a game that could have went either way.
