On the 5th of December, the O’Tooles surfing trip will be resurrected after
its death in 2013. This is due to minimal demand. As with all of the
surfing trips, surfing will play a very small part, if any and is
completely optional and if we are truthful, probably wont happen.

We will be staying in the Sligo Park Hotel. You must make your own way
there. The rate is €60 B&B. Surfing will be be €30 and as mention
probably wont happen due to insane conditions, cold weather and drinking.

The deposit for the trip is €50 for B&B and €10 for surfing. The only time
to book the trip is this Saturday, 17th at 5pm. I will be at the club to
collect.

This trip is open to all players, mentors and workers in the club over the
age of 18 years.

This years surfing could be worth while as Johner Thompson has already paid
up in full. This is causing some concerns in Sligo as the surf school are
not sure if their board are suitable for him. I am not sure what they
meant. Other names already down are Keith Wilson (who will not actually go
as he pulls out of most things) and David Mooney (who has not yet talked to
his wife about it).

In addition to the surfing, The F’er Awards will also take place in Sligo
at evening. Up for grabs are:

– Hurler of the Year.
– Young Hurler of the Year:
– Old Hurler of the Year:
– Best eastern block player of the Year
– Ground Hurler of the Year
– Goal of the Year.
– The Stevie Nolan Award.
– The Myres Award
– The Tooler’s Award
– Burkeys Greatest Hit Award.
