O’Tooles JNRB hurling Championship team claimed another big scalp following there dismissal of St Vincent’s the previous week.

O’Tooles togged out a strong JNR B championship team to play a plucky St Maurs at home last Sunday morning, St Maurs turned up early and with some gusto as they got out of the blocks first and picked off some nice scores before Paul BALDY O Donoghoe settled matters for the larriers and picked off two lovely points , his older and wiser big brother liam LIAMO Donoghoe struck a quality 30 yard free that looped & spinned into the Maurs net having taking up free taking duties after Keith Horgan failed to lift a flag after three attempts.

The sides went in 1-4 a piece at halftime after Deano THE DUCK Farrell struck a penalty high into the St Maurs goalkeepers vision for an easy save having made the long trip from his own goal to face his counterpart.

O’Tooles took a stern taking off Manager Bernard BARRELLER Farrell at halftime leaving his players in no doubt where they stood – GO HARD OR GO HOME !

Keith HORGO Horgan must of been listening as he hit the next three balls over the bar , O’Tooles settled even more and the influential Dave BABYFACE Mooney stepped up pace at midfield pushing the forwards into action, BALDY took his man to Prescott Cleaners and rattled the onion sack putting more distance between the two teams.

Massive displays from Mick THE BODY Healy upon his return to this level, Anto PUGGS Byrne & Luke JJ Blanchfield in the backs cemented this very strong & cohesive team pushing forward, BABYFACE Mooney and Sean MUSCLES O Keefe excelled in midfield, while HORGO, BALDY, Graham JAYO Dinh & Ciaran KIMMO Kimmage ran a muck upfront in the end finishing on a score line of 2-15 to 1-8.

On top of their recent win V St Vins 2-22 to 1-10 this O’Tooles team have two from two and are in pole position with their next outing away v a very strong St Brigids outfit.
One wonders how good BARRELLERS outfit could be if only they trained !

That’s all folks !
C’mon the larriers
