Under 8’s Conditioned Hurling Blitz Friday May 22nd

O’Tooles GAC are inviting clubs to take part in our Under 8s conditioned Hurling Blitz. This will take place on Friday the 22nd of May. First match scheduled for 6.45pm. We are looking for five other clubs. There will be one group and all teams will play 5 games. We want clubs to send two teams. Both teams should be mixed ability (as even as possible).

The conditioned rules are as follows.

1. Seven minutes per half
2. Only goals will count
3. Ground Hurling other than rules 8, 9 and 10
4. A double on the ground is equal to 2 goals
5. You can’t kick or hand pass the ball into the goal
6. 7 aside with as many subs as you like
7. The pitch will be 45m x 30m
8. 45s are played like a corner in a soccer game (but ball is out of your hand)
9. Sidelines are taken out of the hand
10. Free can be taken out of the hand or on the ground
11. There will be no puck outs, the ref will throw the sliotar up the field after goal and wides. This is to keep the games moving and even as possible

The cost of the blitz is €20 to cover the cost of the refs. If you would like you team/club to take part please complete the registration form below on or before the Friday the 15th of May.
