This morning at 8am in sub zero temperatures, five hardy spacers, Liam Donoghue, Declan Graham, David Mooney, Jody Bastow and Lenny Rock met at the club house to commence a 80 km spin around North County Dublin.

They were later joined by the softy of the bunch, David Farrelly, who started late and finished early. It was later revealed that poor Farrelly was suffering from a faith worse than death, ringicous stingicous. This despite bathing his nothingness in a combination of Sudo Cream and Vasiline for two hours before take off. Unfortunately for David the miles just weren't in his backside and he had to call it a day.   As for the rest, it is safe to say they were all  glad not to meet any other club members as all were fully clad in skin tight revealing lycra and the sub zero temperatures weren't doing any of them any favours.

This was the  first ever Larriers Wheelers run taking in Slyvesters, Round Towers,  St. Maurs, Skerries Harps, O'Dwyers, Clann Mhuire, Ballyboughal GFC, Fingallians, a little bit of Naomh Mearnog, Na Dubh Ghall and finally our near neighbours Naomh Barrog. A tear would have been in Christy McCann eye as we took a two minute rest outside Ballyboughal GFC in his honour.

What next for the Wheelers, nobody knows but if any other spacers want to join us please speak to our leader Big DO.
