A win is a win in any language and win is just what our Div1 senior hurlers
did last Wednesday evening in Shanganagh park against Cuala. From the
Arthurs to the Cartons and every surname in between our lads played very
well and deserved the victory. It was a sweet triumph also for our adult
girls last Wednesday when they played away to Lucan Sarsfield in the
Championship. It was a superb way to introduce Saoirse, Alicia, Jodie &
Abby in their debut game for the seniors. Congratulations to the Dublin
Minor girls on their win over Westmeath on Sunday. Greater still was having
two of our lovelies on the panel. And although Tara Fitzgibbon didn’t get
her game this time it was very well done to Rachel Douglas who played her
blue socks off scoring 1 goal and 8 points, helping the Dubs to success.
Belated condolences to our president Brendan O’Donnell and his family on
the recent death of his brother Barry in Limerick. This weekend in our
lounge for your entertainment it’s the evergreen Mr Carl Phillips on
Saturday and Sunday 6 to 8pm in the build-up to the Euro final we have
‘Front Page’. Don’t forget kick-off is 8pm. There was no winner of our
Thursday night live Club Lotto draw. The numbers were 3, 14, 19, 24. This
week the jackpot is €2,900
