On Saturday our under 8/9 girls played thir first ever football game verses
Trinity Geals.
There was huge excitement before during and after the game form both club
as it was also Trinity’s first game.
It was really nice to see the all weather pitch full with children playing
football and near 100 Mammy’s, Daddy’s and grand parents cheering them on.
After spending most of the training sessions to date shouting pass, pass
pass I was delighted when all girls yesterday did exactly that. Passing
continuously to each other.
Big thanks to Vinny for organising the game and Stephen for his help but
all the parents should heap praise on the two girls working with the teams.
I am not sure if it was Diana and Rachel’s first game as coaches because it
certainly didn’t seem that way. The girls were brilliant and had a lovely
way about them and teams responded accordingly.
Finally can all Mammys, Daddy’s, players, granny’s, brothers and sisters
please keep spreading the word about the team. We need another 20 girls. I
would be a nice achievement if we had 20 under 9s and 20 under 8s by the
end of the season.
See everyone at training on Thursday at 7pm in the Donahies.
BRING YOUR MOUTH GAURDS.
Up the lady larriers.
