On Saturday 20 September O’Tooles u9 footballers played host to St Finian’s of Swords. All 19 O’Tooles players took part in the 2 games and both teams were able to score a number of points and goals plus they also earned skill points for some excellent blocking which was great to see. St Finian’s were technically very strong but when the O’Toole’s teams matched their opponents work rate they were able to compete and they tagged on a few lovely scores. There is no doubt that the team is starting to realise that when they tackle and hassle the opposition that they can win possession. With the combination of increased work rate and skill levels improving week on week, the teams are putting more scores on the board. Long may it continue!
