From this moment on every coach involved with a juvenile team will be given regular opportunity to improve their coaching skills.
This will be via the Coach Education Model set out by the GAA and via seminars which normally focus on one particular aspect on coaching.
In my opinion, yesterday was the beginning of a coaching revolution for our club. Phil Cunningham, Alan McGovern, Enda Hoey, John Nolan, Stuart Keegan, Andy Cunningham, Sue Murphy and Damian Elliott embraced this new dawning by attending yesterday's "Six speeds of hurling" seminar in Raheny GAA. Donal Maguire the same, attending a goal keeping coaching course in Parnell Park. In one day, nine coaches have improved which means in 2015, 100 O'Tooles children will be better for their efforts.
There has been an education model in the GAA for a number of years and coaches in the club have taken part but yesterday was different as so many coaches took the opportunity to improve together. This is not an individual heading off on a lonely crusade, this is a shift in our thinking.
Between now and November 2015 there will be a number seminars held in the club to drive on the new wave of thinking and I will be regularly updating the website with information on County Board seminars.
From this moment on, I am calling all coaches to get on board and join the revolution.
VIVA LA O'TOOLES.
