*U11’s Girls Football Match Report: Noamh Fionnbarra*

A home game against Noamh Fionnbarra kicked off the season for our under 11
girls. In really tough weather conditions the girl’s delivered a super

Our defence of Abby Taffe, Darcie Boyd, Gemma Dunne and Rosie Connolly were
like a brick wall attacking every ball that came their way, leaving our
keeper Jane Byrne with little do in the first half. In the middle Emma
Costello, Holly Healy, Ruby Davey and Sarah Donohoe hunted in packs winning
lots of dirty ball providing support for our backs and sending plenty of
ball up into our forwards. Up front Ava Byrne, Ava Mackey, Kallie Keily and
Milly Healy showed for every ball. Ava Mackey packed her scoring boots
flashing in a goal and firing over several points.

A couple of switches in the second half saw Jane and Milly going into
midfield Holly into goal and Emma going into forwards. O’Tooles continued
to get on plenty of ball with Ava and Ruby sending over more points. All
of our forwards and midfielders were very unfortunate not to add more to
our tally with some near near misses.

Well done to all, great commitment by everyone togging out today, next game
is at home vs Erin Go Bragh on March 24th.
