The game was originally devised by the GAA National Research Committee after extensive trials at the Waterford I.T . Sports Campus

Camán Abú activity in O’Tooles has gathered momentum in recent months as both men and women have started to play in their own time slots once a week. Lenny Rock, the competition organiser, commented that “there has been a very positive response from participants who have derived a great sense of achievement, fun and enjoyment from their involvement”.

There was five groups represented on the day of the blitz, namely: The Minors, The Seniors, the Juniors, The Under 21’s and the ladies football team. The Seniors won the competition comprehensively. This team was made up of Dave Mooney, Kevin Burke, Adam King, Andy Morris and Luke Fennelly. There was a prize giving ceremony in the club house afterwards. A great day was had by all.
