30 players aged  11, 12 and 13 turned up today to take part in the Christmas Hurling Blitz.

The 5 aside, goals only hurling blitz was extremely competitive. The skill levels were high even though the players hadn't hurled for a number of weeks. There were several brilliant hooks and blocks executed throughout the afternoon.

The Wexford team mentored by Karl Hamilton won the blitz outright. Representing Wexford hurlers were Fionn and Conn Rock, Kian Cooling, Matty McDermott, Devin Boyd.  Fionn was the stand out player of the tournament scoring vital goals and making numerous interception in every game.

Jordan Dunne and Owen Kinsella were the two refs for the competition and both did a fine job.

Many thanks to Conor, Joey, Rossa, Kian, Conor and Karl for mentoring on the day.  Also thanks to Chris for keeping show moving. Last but not least big thanks to Big Kilkenny John for lasting the 3 hours.
