Our latest league game was against St Marks in Tallaght. A win or a draw for us would guarantee a home fixture for the league final. This was our 4th time to play Marks & they have all been extremely competitive games – this was no different. The home side scored first but we replied well with a goal & a point. It was end to end stuff with Marks getting on top in the middle as the game progressed.O Tooles were reduced to 14 men midway through the 1st half – making our task very difficult. But we never dropped the head & kept battling. All square at half time.We moved ahead early in the 2nd half but Marks came back at us and with 2 mins left they were up by a point.Yet again we moved the ball up the pitch & following a scrap for the ball we put it over the bar.The final whistle went – a draw – which means both teams will do it all again on 15th Oct in Blunden Drive to decide who will be league champions.
